Our Mission Strategy

Level Grove Baptist Church has a unique mission strategy. We believe in building long-term partnerships with local pastors, church planters, and missionaries that help support local churches in meeting physical needs and in reaching their communities with the Gospel. We believe in coming alongside locals who are serving the local church and supporting their work.

Each age group at Level Grove, beginning with 5th grade, has its own unique, long-term partnership. Each year, teams of students and adults travel throughout our nation and around the globe to support local pastors and missionaries as they reach their communities for Christ.

Domestic Partnerships

Field Contact: Shannon Washam, Local Church Planter

The 5th & 6th Grade Ministry at Level Grove has a long term partnership with Western Heights Baptist Center and Glennwood Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. Each year a team of 5th and 6th grade students and adult leaders travel to Knoxville to serve in community outreach, evangelism, and service. These teams work alongside local churches to support their efforts in reaching Knoxville with the Gospel.

Our Middle School students have built a partnership with New Birth Evangelical Baptist church, a local Haitian church plant in Boston, MA. Every year a team of students and adult leaders travel to Boston to work along side the local church and its pastor, Evens Chrysostome. Through construction projects, evangelism, and outreach events, teams support the local church as they reach their community for Christ.

Level Grove has a long term partnership with a local church planter at the Chanku Waste Ranch on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in Porcupine, SD. Each spring an adult team from Level Grove travels to South Dakota to work in the Pine Ridge community and to help support the ministry of the Chanku Waste Ranch. This ranch has planted two of the only evangelical churches on the reservation and our work helps support the local church as they reach the Lakota people.

Level Grove has a long term partnership with three church planters in the Miami Metro area of South Florida. Several times a year teams from Level Grove travel to Miami to support the work of these church planters and their local churches in reaching their community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reaching the Nations

International Partnerships

Field Contact: Joel Pinder, Outisland Ministries Missionary

Level Grove has built a long term partnership with a local pastor in North Eleuthera in the Bahamas. Every year a team of 9th and 10th grade students and adult leaders travel to the Bahamas where they work alongside Pastor John by meeting physical needs and by sharing the Gospel within a Haitian refugee community. Through these trips we support three local churches as they reach their surrounding communities with the Gospel.

Level Grove has a long term partnership with a missionary and with a local ministry leader in Tutulé, Honduras. Every year teams of adults travel to Honduras to support these local leaders in reaching children for Christ, in meeting physical and material needs, and in sharing the Gospel. Through these efforts we can help support local Honduran churches as they reach their communities.

For fifteen years Level Grove has cultivated a partnership with a small community on the northern coast of Haiti. During this time, teams from Level Grove have built a school, a ministry center, and constructed a well that continues to provide clean water to the community. Each year teams from Level Grove travel to Haiti for medical, construction, and Gospel-centered missions. Level Grove provides bags of clothes, hygiene items, and school supplies to hundreds of local kids each year. Through these efforts we have seen the local church in this community grow as children and families come to know Christ.

Level Grove has a long term partnership with local church planters in La Vega, D.R. Every year teams of Students and Adults travel to La Vega to support church planters by hosting a camp for children and families. Hundreds of kids are able to enjoy fun activities and hear the Gospel. This ministry supports the growth of the local church and helps them to reach children and young families with the Gospel.

In 2021 Level Grove partnered with local pastors and church leaders in Latin America to begin El Instituto de Gran Comisión (The Great Comission Institute). The purpose of this institute is to provide quality theological and pastoral training to local pastors and church leaders who may not have the opportunity or the ability to receive traditional seminary training. Pastors and church leaders are given the opportunity to complete a ten course program and receive a certification from the Institute. We offer this program free of charge. The Institute supports local churches throughout Latin America by training pastors and church leaders to reach their communities with the Gospel.
