We teach God’s word every week with a lesson that conveys one of our three basic truths:
· I can trust God no matter what
· I need to make the wise choice
· I should treat other people the way I want to be treated
Each month we introduce the kids to a new life application. A life application or life app is something that God does on the inside of us that changes the world around us. There is a weekly bottom line that helps the kid’s take what they have learned and apply it to their daily life
Every Sunday at 9am and 11 am our 1st -5th graders meet for a time of worship. This large group setting consists of worship through song, games, and a Bible Story. The Bible Story time during worship is the primary time of communication of God’s Word in our Kids’ ministry. The Bible Story is presented in a dynamic way so that it brought to life for the kids and make applicable to them at their stage of development.
Our small groups for our 1st-4th graders meet and every Sunday at 10 AM. This is time for the kids to build community with other kids in their same grade level. The small group leader takes the kids through a series of activities that reinforce the bottom line, and help the kids apply what they have learned on their specific grade level. This is a time for leaders to build relationship with kids in their group and to build a sense of community.
Kid’s choir meets every Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm. During this time, the kids learn to worship and glorify God using their musical talents. The Kid’s lead worship in the main sanctuary on a quarterly basis and produce a Christmas play each December.
On Wednesday night at 7pm the 1st-4th graders meet for an hour of high energy discipleship. The kids are divided into groups by grade. There is a refresher on the Bible story from the previous Sunday, and the kids dig deeper into the bottom line through interactive activities on their grade level. The kids also enjoy some time of free play and social time to allow them to build community with those in their group.
Leaders in Training
Leaders in Training (LIT) is our 5th grade ministry that meets in Room 103, or the LIT Room. This group meets on Sunday mornings at 10am for an hour small group. During this time, they focus on the bottom line of the day and build community through fun activities and a time of prayer.
LIT also meets on Wednesday evenings at 7pm. The focus on Wednesday evening is discipleship and service. The focus of each lesson is on spiritual growth and learning to live out your faith.
LIT has several projects and trainings throughout the year in preparation for a mission trip in the month of June.
